Adam and Eve
In Genesis,
It can be found,
God made man,
From the dust of the ground.
He breathed in him,
The breath of life.
And from his rib,
He made his wife.
In a garden,
Eden, by name,
They lived with animals.
All were tame.
They ate plants,
That grew from seeds.
God supplied,
All of their needs.
God said “Eat the fruit,
That these trees bear.
But the Tree of Knowledge,
Don’t go there.”
Things were fine,
Until the serpent came by.
Tripped up Eve.
Deceived her with his lie.
Said “You’ll be like God,
And it’s might tasty.
Don’t give it a thought.
Just be hasty.”
She picked the fruit,
And began to eat.
Fed her husband,
With the same deceit.
After they sinned,
Everything changed.
Their lifestyle,
Became rearranged.
They had to leave,
That wonderful place.
Had to survive,
By the sweat of their face.
Listening to the devil
Always ends that way.
He still tries to deceive,
God’s people today.
Be wary when the devil
Tries to deceive.
Adam found out,
If he can’t get you in the day,
He’ll try through Eve!
