Snowflake - Camel - Wise Men

Look at this snowflake. Do you see the camels? Do you see the stars? Do you see the crowns around the edge?
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem there were wise men who followed a star to find Jesus. Wise men were like kings. Back in those days they didn’t have cars or trains or planes. The wise men probably rode camels on their journey.
When they got to Jerusalem, King Herod called for the wise men and asked them about the star. King Herod told the wise men that when they found the newborn king to come back and tell him so he could worship Him too. King Herod didn’t really want to worship Jesus. He wanted to kill Him.
The wise men followed the star, and it stood over the house where baby Jesus lay. They fell and worshipped Jesus. They brought Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. We know what gold is. Frankincense and myrrh are very expensive ointments and perfumes.
The wise men were warned by God in a dream not to go back to King Herod. They went home to their country a different way.
The wise men travelled a long way to see Jesus and worship Him. We don’t have to travel anywhere to worship Jesus. We can talk to Him wherever we are, and He hears us. We can worship Him by telling Him how good He is and how much we love Him.
We should worship Jesus every day.
