Be All God Wants You to Be
A man entered himself and Waldo, “the world’s only talking dog”, in a talent show. He and Waldo walked on stage. “Waldo,” the man said, “How does sandpaper feel?”
Waldo replied, “Ruff.”
The audience responded with booing, but the man continued. “Waldo,” he asked, “What is on the outside of trees?”
Waldo replied “Bark. Bark.” The audience was not only booing, but they were now throwing things.
“Waldo,” the man went on, “Who hit more home runs than any other man?” Waldo replied “Ruth. Ruth.”
The audience was hissing. Labeled as phonies, they were both thrown out the
back door. They landed in the alley. Waldo looked up and said, “Oh, yeah, I forgot about Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds.”
In our story, it turns out that Waldo really could talk. The audience didn’t hear him speak because they didn’t give him a chance. They all knew that dogs can’t talk, so they stifled him.
Is someone stifling you? Is there something you would like to accomplish but others tell you that it is impossible? Is there something you would like to step out and do, but your friends say that it can’t be done? The good news is that you can do things that go beyond other people’s imaginations. When God create you, He created a unique mind that can be used for His glory. The possibilities are limitless. If there is something that you would like to do, pray about it, check it out in God’s word, and then go for it, and give God the glory.
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
