Proverbs 24:16

For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Have you ever been bowling? I have. I think it’s fun. You roll the bowling ball down the alley and then watch to see how many pins fall down. It’s really exciting to get a strike by knocking all the pins down.

Sometimes we can feel like we get knocked down in our lives. I don’t we actually fall on the floor, but things can happen sometimes that make us feel down.

Perhaps you get a bad grade in school or don’t do well in sports. That might make you feel bad. It may even make you want to stop trying, but you shouldn’t give up. Often when people practice instead of giving up they’re surprised at how much better they get. When we fall we should get back up.

At times when we’re serving Jesus we might feel like we fall down too. We may say or do something that we know is not pleasing to God. That makes us feel bad. It makes us feel down.

Jesus loves us, and He will forgive us. We should confess our faults to Him. We should get back up and continue to serve Jesus.

The bible teaches us that a just man might fall seven times, but he keeps getting up again.

If you feel like those bowling pins sometimes that keep getting knocked down, remember the important thing is to keep getting back up. You can do it with God’s help.
