Snowflake - Clown - Do Unto Others

Clown – Do Unto Others
Luke 6:31
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
Clowns are fun to watch. They are silly and funny. Sometimes they trip over each other. Sometimes they trick each other. Sometimes they trip and fall. They can make us laugh with their antics. They want us to laugh at them. When we laugh at clowns that means they’re being funny, and we are enjoying the show.
When we laugh at other people when they’re not trying to be funny it can be very hurtful. We shouldn’t laugh at people when they make a mistake. We shouldn’t make fun of people because they may not be good at something. We shouldn’t tease people because they’re different from us.
How would you feel if someone made fun of you and said you’re not as smart as them? Would you like it if someone called you names because you’re not as good at sports as they are? What if someone mocked you because you look different or dress differently than they do? It feels bad not to be included. It hurts to be teased. We wouldn’t like it if people did those things to us, would we?
The bible teaches us that we should treat others like we want to be treated. We shouldn’t be mean to others or make fun of them. We should be considerate and kind to everyone. We want people to be nice to us so we should be nice.
If everyone treated others like we want to be treated as the bible says, the world would be a much nicer place.
