Colossians 3:23

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Look at this snowflake. Do you see the flowers? The flowers in the middle look like they are in flowerpots. The ones around the edge aren’t in flowerpots. They look like maybe they are on a vine.

Different flowers grow better in different environments. Some flowers thrive in hot humid weather. Other flowers are very hardy and look beautiful in cooler temperatures. Some need a lot of water and others will die if you water them too much. Some flowers are very delicate and flourish best indoors.

Wherever we see flowers blooming they are very beautiful, and many flowers are very fragrant too.

Have you ever heard the expression ‘Bloom where you’re planted’? It means do the best you can no matter where you are or what your circumstances.

Perhaps you have big dreams about things you would like to do someday. Maybe you will do those things someday, but we all need to do our best right where we are. We shouldn’t complain or be envious of others.

God wants us to have a good attitude and do our best in school, on our job, and in everything we do. If we do, maybe someday He will help some of our dreams come true.
