Luke 23:39-43



Jesus Died on the cross for our sins. He never did anything wrong, but He took the punishment we deserve for the bad things we do.

When Jesus was nailed to the cross, the people there didn’t understand that. They were mocking Jesus. They said, “He saved others, let Him save Himself if He’s the Christ!”

The soldiers mocked Jesus telling Him to come down from the cross if He was the King of the Jews.

Jesus was crucified between two criminals. One of the criminals joined in with the crowd mocking Jesus. He told Jesus if He were Christ, he should save Himself and them too.

The other criminal rebuked him. He said “We are all going to die, and you and I deserve it for our deeds. This man has done nothing wrong.”

Then he said to Jesus, “Remember me when You come into your kingdom.”

Jesus told the man “Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

No matter how bad we have been we can come to Jesus with a humble heart and ask Him to forgive us.
