1 Corinthians 13

The hearts on this snowflake remind me of love.

The bible has a lot to say about love. There are accounts in the bible about people who loved each other. We can read about people who loved God. It also tells us how much God loves us. It even explains what real love is.

There is a whole chapter in the bible that tells us about real love. It’s the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 13.

It teaches us that love is patient and kind. Are we patient and kind?

Love does not envy. Do we get envious of others?

Love does not boast and isn’t arrogant. Do we like to brag and feel like we are better than others?

Love isn’t selfish, resentful and rude. Do we always want our way and get angry and hateful when we don’t get it. Do we treat others badly?

Love rejoices in the truth. Are we only happy when we hear the things we want to hear?

We should desire to have the kind of love that the bible teaches us about.

Jesus said people will know we are His disciples by our love for one another. I want people to know I’m one of Jesus’ disciples, don’t you? (John 13:35)
