Snowflake - Baseball - Confessing Our Sins

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
What do you see in this snowflake? Do you see the baseball bat? Do you see the baseball? Do you see the baseball glove? Do you like to play baseball? Do you like to watch baseball games?
Do you know what a home run is? That’s when a batter runs around all the bases without stopping, to score a run.
Do you know what it means to strike out? That’s when a batter gets three strikes during a time at bat.
Do you know what an error is? That’s when a fielder makes a mistake that allows a batter or baserunner to advance to a base, when they would have otherwise been out.
I have never played baseball, but I have made a lot of errors in my life. I’m talking about mistakes. I’ve dropped things accidentally. I’ve forgotten to do things when I should have. I didn’t follow the directions exactly right. I’ve made many errors.
When we intentionally do things that we know are wrong, that is sin. If I take something that doesn’t belong to me, if I lie, or say bad words, those are sins.
Everyone has sinned. We deserve to be punished for our sins. Jesus loves us so much that He took the punishment for our sins by dying on the cross. If we believe that in our heart, and ask Jesus to forgive us, when this life is over we can have a home in heaven.
