Snowflake - Cowboy Hat & Boots - Obeying God

Pslams 73:3-17 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked… Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

Do you see the cowboy hat and cowboy boots in this snowflake? When I was young there were a lot of cowboy shows on Television. It seemed like every week a new bad guy rode into town. He stole and cheated and put fear in heart of all the townsfolk. There was usually a chase on horseback followed by a shootout. Every show ended the same. The good guys always won.

Sometimes in real life it doesn’t seem that way. Sometimes it seems like the bad guys are the winners. Sometimes cheaters get a good an A on a test, when you get a C- after studying all day. Sometimes shoplifters have nicer things than you do. Sometimes it seems like bullies get anything they want, and it doesn’t pay to be nice.

There was a man in the bible named Asaph. It looked to him, as though the wicked people were prospering doing evil things. At first, he was jealous of them because they seemed to have it so much better than him. Then he went into the sanctuary of God, and he understood what the end would be for those wicked people.

We shouldn’t be jealous of people who seem to prosper by doing bad things. We most certainly should not behave like them. God sees everything and knows everything we do. We should always do our best to please Him and we will be rewarded.

Instead of being jealous of people who don’t obey God we should pray that they come to Jesus and serve Him. Then they will stop doing those bad things.
