Be Prepared
“I can’t believe it,” said Susie to one of her friends on the phone. “Something I learned in school finally paid off. On my way home from school, I heard a terrible crash. I looked in the street and there was this guy lying there who had been thrown from his car. He was bleeding all over, and his arm and leg were bent backwards. That’s when I remembered what I learned in Miss Weaver’s first aid class.”
“What did you do?” inquired the voice from the phone.
“I sat on the curb and put my head down between my knees to keep from fainting.”
It pays to be prepared. The things we learn in school can help us in many situations. The things we learn from the bible prepare us for heaven and for all the things life has in store for us here. We must take time to study God’s word.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
