Tom and Joe decided to go fishing at night. They rowed out to the middle of the lake and realized that they had forgotten the bait.

“You go back and get it,” said Tom.

Joe answered, “What do you mean? We came out in this boat together, and that’s the only way back.”

Tom said, “If we row back it will stir up the fish. I have an idea. I’ll just shine this flashlight over there to the shore and you can walk on the beam.”

“How stupid do you think I am?” Joe asked. “I’d get halfway across, and you would turn off the light.”

Do you ever feel like you have no control in the direction your life is taking? You might just as well try to walk on that flashlight beam? You’re just a soul wandering aimlessly? It doesn’t have to be that way. God has a plan for your life. If you submit yourself to Him, He will lead you and guide you in a new direction and give you a life that you truly love.
