A famous old actress was being interviewed on a television talk show. The host asked her, to what she attributed her success in the industry.

“I’m a ‘follow through’ person. Organization is the key. I make a plan, and stick to it no matter what. As long as you do that, everything in your life will fall into place,” she told him.

The host probed, “It certainly doesn’t seem to have worked in your personal life. Haven’t you had four husbands?”

“Of course, darling,” she replied. “It was part of a well-organized plan.”

The host was very skeptical and asked her to explain. She answered very methodically. “I first married a banker. My second husband was a movie director. My third husband was a preacher, and the last man I married was an undertaker. Here’s the plan. One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go!”

People are always busy making plans. We plan meals, schedules, and dates. We plan our finances and plan for vacations. Some people plan for their retirement.

There are plans we should make right now. We should plan where we are going to spend eternity. God prepared a special place for us to spend eternity with Him, and he also took care the arrangement for us to get there. Jesus shed His blood on the cross for our sins, so that someday we can have a home in heaven. Accepting Jesus as your savior is the greatest plan ever. It’s more than great. It heavenly!
