Prejudice

A passenger was sitting on an airplane, when he saw a very beautiful woman walking down the aisle. As fate would have it, her seat was right next to his. He began a conversation. “What kind of man,” he asked, “do you find attractive?”

“Well,” she said, “I like Native American men, because they are said to be tall, dark, and handsome. And I like Jewish men, because they are said to be very wise, and intelligent businessmen. But I also like good ol’ boys. You know, someone who’s rugged, and can just get in a pick-up and go. Now, tell me about yourself. What’s your name?”

He replied, “Geronimo Goldberg, but my friends call me Bubba.”

Stereotypes. We sometimes attribute certain characteristics to a person because of their race, creed, or ethnic background. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but not necessarily true. We should not judge others by the way they look, or talk, or where they are from. If we get to know people with a different heritage, we may be surprised how much we have in common. God created us all and wants us to be His loving children.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
