Using Wise Judgment
Fred had a dream that he went to a very strange place. He wasn’t sure where he was, but there were two lines. One that was labeled “henpecked” and one that said, “not henpecked.” There were hundreds of men standing in the “henpecked line”, but only one man standing in the “not henpecked line.”
Fred walked over to the lone man and asked, “How did you get to stand here?”
I don’t know,” the man replied. “This is where my wife told me to stand.”
The man’s wife definitely had an influence over him. Who influences your life? Friends? Classmates? Celebrities on television? Parents usually have the most influence on us, which they rightfully should. As we mature, we learn that our parents are not going to be with us twenty-four hours a day to tell us what to do. We must learn to have good judgement to make the right choices. If we use the bible as our standard to determine what is right, we will never go wrong.
Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
