It’s six o’clock on Monday morning. The house is filled with the aroma of bacon frying. A voice is heard in John’s room. “Come on John. It’s time to get up for school.”

“I’m not going to school!” comes the reply in a very defiant tone.

“Come on, John. It’s time to get up for school.”

“I said I’m not going to school!”

“Okay John, give me one good reason why you don’t want to go to school.”

“I can give you two. None of the kids like me, and I don’t like any of them! Can you give me a reason why I should go?”

“I can give you two. You’re forty-five years old, and you’re the principal!”

Do you ever feel like you don’t have a friend in the world? It’s a very sad and lonely feeling experienced by many people. Maybe you weren’t invited to the great party, or you were the last person chosen to be on a team, or maybe just being home alone on a Saturday night has you feeling down. It may seem as though everyone in the world has rejected you, but remember, Jesus loves you! He wants to be your best friend. Anytime of the day or night, He is waiting to hear from you. He knows you. He created you, and you are very special in His sight. When it seems that no one cares, go to Jesus. He cares so much that He gave His life for you.
